Falling Items is an endless, generative animation in which objects fall down and affect each other. . It shows the essence of rendered (generating images based on data) items, characters and environments from the game industry.

The animation contains items from the evolution of computer-generated imagery: from the nostalgic simplicity of Super Mario 64. from the 1996 Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) to the hyper-realistic worlds of Super Mario Bros. Wonder.

Falling Items reveals how three-dimensional models are made and highlights their complex layering in an era when computer-generated images are indistinguishable from real ones.
